A Legacy in Toy Licensing
Founder of Better Managed Toys, John has spent over three decades in the toy and game industry. His career began in 1994 at Lund and Company, home of iconic products like Fireball Island and TMX Elmo. John quickly found his passion in connecting inventors with companies looking for fresh, innovative ideas.
In 2000, John joined Breslow, Morrison, Terzian, and Associates (BMT), which later became Big Monster Toys in 2003. During his time there, he forged long-lasting relationships with manufacturers and brought game-changing products to the global toy market.
With over 30 years of experience in the toy industry—24 of them spent at the world-renowned Big Monster Toys (BMT)—I’ve had the unique opportunity to collaborate with some of the most influential and innovative minds in the business. From working alongside Toy Hall of Fame inductees to partnering with brilliant designers, model makers, and engineers, I’ve been at the forefront of toy creation, witnessing countless ideas transform into beloved, iconic products.
What truly distinguishes my approach is my ability to act as a vital connector throughout the process. I bridge the gap between inventors and manufacturers, facilitating clear communication and ensuring each concept reaches its full potential. My years at BMT opened doors to long-standing relationships with key players in the manufacturing world, allowing me to present groundbreaking concepts and negotiate licensing agreements that benefit all parties involved.
The result? Licensing deals that foster mutual financial success while bringing innovative, joyful products to market.
"Patience truly is a virtue in this business.
Every small victory along the way should be celebrated, and it’s crucial to keep generating new ideas to bring to the world."
